I'd rather be sewing. Unless there's cake. If there's cake I'll eat that first then sew.

Lunch

The perfect comfort food lunch - bread and butter pudding.  Yes, it’s pudding (so it’s delicious and feels like a treat) but it’s not that unhealthy, no worse than a white bread sandwich.  Spread two slices of white bread with butter and sprinkle on some cinnamon.  Beat one egg with a cup of milk (I use skimmed and it tastes just fine) and a tablespoon of sugar.  Cut each piece of bread into about 6 pieces and use half to line a small oven proof dish.  Sprinkle over a generous handle of dried fruit (mine was a mix of cherries, cranberries, blueberries and raisins).  Arrange remaining bread in dish and pour over your milk and egg mix.  Press lightly to make sure all the bread is wet.  Turn the oven on (moderate, about 180, as for a cake) and set timer for 15 mins.  Leave pudding on counter until timer goes off then bake for about 25 minutes until golden on top and set in middle.  Yummy.
